BG Christian JH Basketball Teams in Action

Tuesday night both the JH girls and boys teams traveled to Monclova to face the Thunder. Both games were well played by all teams. The JH girls lost 34-16 with contributions from Taeya Mills (8 points), Kathleen Blake (6 points), and Julia Simon (2 points). This game puts the girls’ record at 0-4 (0-1).

In the second game of the night the JH boys battled hard with Monclova and in the final seconds pulled out a huge victory. The win was the Lions first on the season and put their record at 1-5 (1-1). They were lead by Travis Clark (8 points) and John-Wesley Winters (6 points). Steven Speck, Gavin Winters, and David Turk each added 5 points to cap a Lions victory 29-27 as they rallied to score 15 points in the final quarter of the game.

All Elementary and Junior High teams will be in action on Thursday as the girls travel to St. Mike’s in Findlay, OH and the boys team hosts State Line Christian at 4:30 (elementary) and 5:30 (JH).
