Ana Huidobro

Ana Huidobro joins us for the 2023-2024 school year as our new High School English teacher! Along with her love of worship and prayer, Ana brings 25 years of teaching experience with her into the classroom. You might also catch her doing a spontaneous dance move from time to time. Help us welcome Mrs. Huidobro as you get to know more about her in the story below!

What do you hope for in regards to this school year?

This year I hope to make connections with families in Ohio, as I have been in the area for about a year and a half (coming from California). I'm very excited to not only get to know a new community, but to interact with a loving, Christian community. It’s more than I could have asked for! I’m loving chapel on Fridays and praying each morning with my first period class. It's a new experience for me that I love.

What made you choose to work at BG Christian?

I learned of BG Christian from a friend at church, Linda Judson. We were talking after Bible study and she mentioned that there was an opening for an English teacher, and that she could see me there. The way she spoke of this place had me intrigued. After a month of being here I have learned that every word she spoke is true. This is indeed a special place.

What do you do in your free time?

Currently, during my free time I am bonding with my grown son over anime. Every time we start a new show I am apprehensive, but end up loving it! I also like Spanish soap operas from the 90's.

What's an interesting fact for people to know about you?

If you are walking down the street and hear someone singing at the top of their lungs it is probably me. I love to sing, but am not good at all. But it brings me joy! I love to dance too and sometimes as I am walking down the street, hallway, or in the middle of my room I spontaneously twirl. Like Linda Carter in Wonder Woman (for those who know!)
