Looking back, Alli credits some amazing teachers for shaping her path. Mrs. Dally, her elementary music and art teacher, instilled a lifelong love of creativity and music. Mr. Bock, her fifth-grade teacher, taught her the value of kindness and community, while Mrs. Rose, her junior and senior year mentor, provided unwavering support and a godly example. Mrs. Magrum, another influential teacher, showed Alli the importance of both confidence and seeking help when needed.
But Alli's proudest accomplishment isn't academic. BG Christian's unique structure, with grades 6-12 in one building, fostered a strong mentoring spirit in her. She's most proud of the relationships she's built with younger students, pouring her passion for mentorship into the underclassmen.
One memory sticks out: a random day in junior year when the school relocated to the Big Fab Lab and went roller skating! It was a day of pure fun and connection, with even Mr. Murphy showing off his impressive skating skills.
What makes BG Christian truly special for Alli? The feeling of family. The small class sizes and teachers who wear multiple hats create deep connections with both classmates and educators. It's a place where students are welcomed, challenged, and loved, finding not only academic support but also spiritual grounding. Alli prays this never changes, even as the school grows.
Graduation beckons, and Alli plans to attend Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City. Her love of music and a calling to ministry led her to major in elementary education with a minor in ministry and a concentration in worship. Whether she becomes an elementary teacher or a worship pastor, Alli is ready to follow God's calling, forever grateful for the foundation she received at BG Christian.
